Our approach to learning

Education is about more than qualifications

Our Values-Based Education approach recognises both the inner and outer curriculum. Qualifications and academic progress matter. But so do confidence, relationships, self-awareness, regulation, curiosity and independence.

Because whether it's cooking, walking, traveling, managing money, when you discover something you're actually interested in, you realise that learning doesn't have to start at a desk.

Our approach to learning

Real people. Real experiences. Real learning.

The world around us is full of opportunities to learn

A journey

Independence

Some of the most powerful learning happens through people. We create opportunities for young people to spend time with professionals, practitioners, members of the community and people with lived experience so they can explore interests, discover possibilities and imagine something different for themselves.

The Inner Curriculum

These develop through relationships, experiences, reflection and opportunities to practise them in real life.

Education happens everywhere

Your regulation. Your choice. Your toolkit.

Regulation is part of learning. We help young people understand themselves and recognise what helps them feel ready to engage.

Over time, young people are supported to recognise, communicate and increasingly manage their own regulation needs.
